Day Three

I learned how to quilt about 7 years ago. I love the look and feel of fabric, but I haven't had time in the last 5 years to really quilt anything. Recently I pulled all my fabric out and displayed it on this bookshelf, and 3 weeks ago I made my first quilt in quite some time. A Christmas quilt, which can be seen on the top shelf. It makes me so happy to create something by hand that is useful for my family.

Great pics! And congrats on your quilt! Sounds like a great solution: put a project in plain sight and you got it done!

How fun! Love the shot too. I started my first quilt over the summer and sadly it's sitting in pieces in various places. I love how having it organized allowed you to get one finished! I really need to find everything and get that baby done--it's a t-shirt quilt.
